Maria Thompson (Author)

Maria Thompson has been a first and second-grade teacher since 1992. She is the author of the book, “Our  20/20 Journey Back to School” and has written several unpublished children’s books. When the bell rings at the end of the day, she is a wife to her high school sweetheart, Bob, and mother to three grown children and golden retriever, Paisley. She loves to be creative and enjoys decorating her home and classroom. In her spare time, Maria enjoys spending time at the beach and delights in being a part of many educational Facebook groups, exercising, especially walking with friends and family.

Daria Shamolina (Illustrator)

Daria began her illustrating adventure at the age of 14 when she was hired for her first job at a newspaper created by teenagers. She later studied at her local University and began professionally publishing soon after. Daria has illustrated multiple children’s books and has a special talent for creating adorable, colorful and bright characters. Daria resides in the Ukraine with her son, Daniel. He is the greatest love of her life! Becoming a mommy has made her biggest dream come true. Daria’s favorite activity is going to the zoo with her son and enjoying the many different types of animals together.
